Scary Toy - Jan 30th picture

I wonder sometimes if toys are just too scary for kids. This one walks and growls and sniffs. Moves his eyes and jaws and tracks your movement. My brother bought it for my son a few years ago and he wouldn't even touch it that year. LOL

It is bad, taking photos of a calendar - Jan 29th

As usual I didn't take my camera out today. It is almost 11 pm and shoot I haven't taken a photo for the day. So walking around the house looking at objects thinking "ok....what will I take a picture of?" Nothing jumps out at me - so I thought about writing in blog "No Picture Today" when I looked at my calendar sitting beside my computer on the desk and thought nice animal shots. So here are some of my favourites in the TD desk calendar. I really wish I could just take the photo of the animals and flowers and not the dates with it. But my camera is not a good one, I cannot zoom in much. So I used the crop option and cropped all my photos except the one below (wolf with calendar dates) to show you what they looked like before the crop.

Sick Day - Jan 27th picture

Today was not the best day for my 8 year old. He woke up this morning with a sore throat and a headache. So I kept him home from school. He didn't have a fever all day but started to heat up later tonight so gave him some children's Motrin. I hate it when little ones get sick.

I almost forgot to post a photo today. So here is a quick picture of my passport envelope. We are planning a trip and need to do our passports. We filled them out today and we will be taking them to the office and get them processed later this week. I have been busy tonight surfing the net about Las Vegas. Not sure where we are staying and what we plan on doing while there. There are so many options.

I know it is still winter and we still have a few months to go. I was glad it was a raining day today so it could melt some of that white stuff away. I am not a winter person, I should have been born in Florida or someplace warm.

What can you buy for $3? - Jan 20th picture

Made my day! I was shopping at Wal-mart today; well I wasn't supposed to be shopping I really was returning a few xmas gifts that needed to be brought back. (I know I am late, but I hate line ups. Anyway I went and took a quick peek at the boys clothing and found these shirts for $3. So I had to pick up a few. Right?

Mother Nature's Trick - Jan 19th picture

I was outside this morning and thought the ice and snow on the trees looked so pretty then I saw the green peeking out from under the snow beside the walkway. I had to take a picture just to remind us - "Spring does exist after winter!"

Son + wooden mission - Jan 17th picture

Here is an old wooden chair we have at home. So I thought "perfect" wooden mission picture - then I had the great idea put my son on the chair and then the shot becomes a better photo. Well next picture as you can see is of him saying "I don't know what to do mom!" because I asked him to pose.

Well I just kept clicking the camera picture after picture and he was making faces and doing silly stuff. It is so darn cute. Wish I could put them all on here (but not sure how) as a slide show or quick video. It is funny the pictures I wanted to post in here he didn't like and the ones he said ok post I didn't like, so we settled on the bottom one.

P.S. I wanted to post the picture with his eyes all googly and tongue out. Oh well I guess we will have to keep that one private.

One of those days - Jan 16th picture

If only our bills were this easy to pay. Just stamp away and poof they get paid. We can dream can't we? Anyway its one of those days and I really didn't think of taking a picture until late tonight and this is all I could come up with. Sorry :(

On to week three - Jan 15th

These are the books we have to return to the library. My son loves to read and usually takes about 20 chapter books each time we visit there. It is so nice to know that there is a place we can go and enjoy ourselves and it doesn't cost money. Honestly its FREE!!! I wonder in the future if this free outing will be taken from us and cost money to use?

White and Black - Jan 14th picture

Today my son wanted to write in my blog about his day and wanted me to take some pictures of him. So I took black and white pictures in staying with my white theme this week. Below is his story about what happened to him at school today.

Today was a mixed-up day. When I just stepped outside the school door, one of my friends said, "Where's your backpack?" I rushed to get my backpack at the coat hooks and hurried to catch my bus. When I got home my mom asked "Do you have any homework?" I said "yes". Then my mom checked my backpack and asked "Where is your homework and your lunch bag?" I felt very silly to have forgotten my lunch bag and my homework. What a mixed-up day!

White Writing - Jan 13th picture

You never can tell what an amazing buy you can find at a dollar store. This glass was given to me last year by one of my aunts. I love it. I thought colour week would be easy peasy but it is more difficult than I imagined - but still sticking with my white theme this week. Just a few more days.

White Food - Jan 11th

Staying with my weekly colour theme (white this week) I wasn't sure what to take a picture of. So I asked my 8 year old son, "What would he like me to take a picture of today?" He told me white food. He said you could use eggs and milk. Which I did and also added sugar and white bread. Here are the results.
